12/29/2024

In my 2024 journey of producing podcasts, I've had the privilege of collaborating with an incredibly diverse group of business owners. From different ages and backgrounds to a spectrum of personal interests, my clients massively represent a melting pot of vibrant personalities and ideas.

However, despite their differences, there's one similarity they all share: purpose. Each one has a clear, burning passion that they're eager to share with the world through their podcasts. This realisation struck a chord with me, highlighting just how fortunate I am to work with people who are not just finding their voice but who are already clear on what they want to say.

Realising this led me to a profound personal reflection - what is my purpose?

After much thought, it became clear: My purpose is to empower those who have found theirs. By handling the technical and time-consuming aspects of podcast production - editing, mastering, and distribution - I enable passionate voices to continue resonating strongly without burnout. The truth is, podcasting isn't for the faint of heart; many podcasts don't make it past their seventh episode, not due to a lack of content, but because of the daunting, behind-the-scenes workload that can overshadow the creator's initial drive.

I've made it my mission to ensure that these visionary podcasters can maintain their focus on what they do best: sharing their purpose with the world. By removing the barriers of production, I help keep these purpose-driven individuals on track, ensuring their message reaches the ears that need to hear it.

The Pit Pony Podcast

Over 10,000 downloads since we launched in October 2024, The Pit Pony Podcast, hosted by Sharon Cawley and Sarah Dunwood, is one of my biggest success stories of 2024. A podcast that Sharon and Sarah created for educators and professionals seeking life beyond traditional teaching.

It even reached Number 6 in the Apple Podcast charts!!!

This podcast shines a light on the courage it takes to transition from classroom to new career paths, offering not just stories but strategies that empower listeners to forge their own way.

Powerful stories, incredible guests and insightful discussions that blend personal experiences with practical advice. The Pit Pony Podcast has become a vital resource for anyone contemplating significant career shifts.

Video Content In 2025?

Who needs some affordable video content creating in 2025? I've invested in some serious Sony cinema kit, and still a little inexperienced but loving being able to capture content, colourise, and edit reels for clients. I still need plenty of practise, so let me know if you're interested.

Here's an example of a reel I shot, edited and produced for a mate of mine who is setting up The Roadhouse Weekender festival in Summer 2025!

Vinyl Record of the Month - Fever Ray

I recently managed to get my hands on a limited edition version of this incredible album! Karin Dreijer's first solo project, adopting the alias Fever Ray for her debut album. Probably my favourite Nordic style record of all time.

Fever Ray oscillates between captivating and uneven moments. The lead single, "If I Had a Heart," epitomises the album’s strengths - a haunting blend of synthetic beats and poignant lyrics. This track sets a high bar as possibly one of 2009's standout singles.

Fever Ray’s subtleties become more apparent with repeated listens, unveiling quirks and humorous lyrics that initially might go unnoticed. The album’s incredible soundscape, coupled with Dreijer’s cryptic lyricism, creates an engaging yet challenging listening experience.

Fever Ray is an album that not only challenges but also enchants, leaving you slightly unnerved yet eager for more.

Ok, that's me signing off for 2024. Have a wonderful Christmas everyone and I'll see you in 2025.
